return conditions and warranty

RETURN POLICY

1.0 The Buyer has the right to withdraw from the purchase agreement without giving a reason within 14 (fourteen) days from the date of delivery of the goods by notifying the Seller in writing. The written request must include detailed order information: order number, date, item, price, and delivery date. The request must be sent via email to info@darkstylewood.lt.
This right applies only to private individuals (not legal entities).

1.1 According to the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, the 14-day return guarantee mentioned in clause 1.0 does not apply to goods purchased remotely (online) that fall under the list of non-returnable goods approved by the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (VVTAT). Items on this list may be exchanged or returned only at the Seller’s discretion and goodwill.

1.2 Goods that have been custom-made according to the client’s individual specifications—such as selected wood and/or metal colors, upholstery fabric, or dimensions—cannot be returned.

1.3 Assembled or partially assembled furniture in good condition cannot be returned. Returned goods must be in the same configuration as when received by the Buyer. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring that the goods are properly and safely packed for return shipment.

1.4 If assembly service was provided upon delivery, any claims regarding assembly quality must be made immediately after inspection on-site. Failure to report issues at that time is considered acceptance that the Buyer has no complaints.

1.5 Products such as concrete vessels and candles made using them are handmade; therefore, each item is unique. Minor surface irregularities or texture variations (e.g. small dimples) resulting from the production process are not considered defects or poor quality.

1.6 All our products (furniture and accessories) are handmade, and a tolerance of ±1 cm may occur.

2.0 When returning goods, the Buyer must comply with the following conditions:

2.1 The returned item must be in its original, undamaged packaging.
2.2 The item must not be damaged by the Buyer.
2.3 The item must be unused and retain its commercial appearance (labels intact, protective films not removed, etc.). This requirement does not apply when returning defective goods.
2.4 The returned item must include all accessories and components received by the Buyer.
2.5 Proof of purchase must be provided when returning the item.

3.0 All costs related to returning goods shall be borne by the Buyer. The return cost depends on the item’s weight, volume, and the rates of the courier chosen by the Buyer.

4.0 The Seller has the right to refuse returned goods if the Buyer fails to comply with the return procedure set out in clause 2.1.

5.0 After receiving and inspecting the returned goods, and confirming compliance with the return procedure in clause 2.1, the Seller must refund the Buyer within 14 days.

6.0 Refunds for returned goods will be transferred only to the Buyer’s bank account (the original payer).

7.0 In cases where the Buyer received the wrong item and/or a defective product, the Seller shall collect such goods and replace them with identical items in good condition.

8.0 If the Seller does not have replacement goods available, the Buyer will receive a full refund.

WARRANTY

1.0 All products are covered by a 24-month seller’s warranty against manufacturing defects.

1.1 The quality of the goods provided by the Seller must comply with the quality requirements established by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. If the Buyer and the Seller have not agreed on specific quality standards, the goods must meet a reasonable level of quality that the Buyer can expect, considering the materials, technology, and production methods used.

1.2 The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover naturally worn parts, nor does it apply in cases where the assembly instructions are not followed, the product is improperly assembled, or used in a way inconsistent with the user manual or maintenance recommendations. The Seller shall bear the costs of replacing or returning defective goods or their parts.

1.3 The Seller undertakes to provide the Buyer (verbally or in writing) with all necessary information regarding product usage and maintenance.

1.4 Products or components made from natural wood require proper care (e.g. oiling, painting). Failure to maintain the product properly will void any warranty claims related to resulting defects, which shall be the Buyer’s responsibility.

1.5 Natural changes in wood (cracks, scratches, knots falling out) caused by environmental conditions are not considered defects or poor quality.

1.6 Wooden furniture or products made from pine wood may exhibit resin exudation. We, as manufacturer, take steps during production (such as heating and cleaning resin "pockets") to minimize this, but environmental factors (direct sunlight, high temperature) can cause remaining resin to surface. This is not considered a defect. Resin can be cleaned with appropriate resin removers or as advised by the manufacturer.

1.7 Metal corrosion resulting from surface coating damage caused by the Buyer is not considered a defect or quality issue.

1.8 Products made from fabrics and other materials must be maintained according to the supplier’s care specifications or instructions provided on this website www.darkstylewood.com or upon request via info@darkstylewood.lt.

1.9 Any defects arising from improper or unintended use are not considered product defects or quality issues.

Dispute Resolution

A Buyer who believes their rights have been violated must submit a written complaint to the Seller within 3 months from the date of the alleged violation, stating their claims. The Seller must review the request free of charge and provide a detailed, reasoned written response within 14 days.

If the issue cannot be resolved amicably, the Buyer may submit a complaint to the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (Vilniaus g. 25, 01402 Vilnius, tel. +370 5 262 6751, fax +370 5 279 1466, email tarnyba@vvtat.lt, website www.vvtat.lt) or fill in a complaint form on the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform available at http://ec.europa.eu/odr/.
